DR. MAYA GONZALES

Dr. Maya Gonzales earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska in 2002 and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon in 2006. She became board certified as a Chiropractic Sports Physician in 2012 through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Gonzales is also an Elite Provider in Active Release Technique (ART-EP), and an instructor with Active Release techniques, a certified level three Kinesio-taping practitioner, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment Certified. She is a member of the Colorado Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association (ACA), and the Forward Thinking Chiropractic Alliance (FTCA).

Following her graduation in 2006, Dr. Gonzales opened a chiropractic practice in Denver, Colorado. In 2008, she joined Mt. View Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Bonney Lake, Washington—an established clinic with a team of chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, nutritionists, and naturopathic doctors. From 2008 to 2014, she served as the clinic's Sports Medicine Chiropractor, collaborating with a talented team of practitioners.

Dr. Gonzales and her family always intended to return to Colorado to be closer to family and the Rocky Mountains. The active lifestyle of the Evergreen community aligns perfectly with Dr. Gonzales' approach to patient care and the types of cases she is passionate about treating.

Dr. Gonzales' treatment plans focus on a primary goal: empowering her patients to pursue the activities they love, free from musculoskeletal pain or imbalance. She addresses both symptoms and root causes, teaching patients to become independent and avoid re-injury. Her aim is to help patients return to full, pain-free activity as quickly as possible. Many of her patients begin to tune into their bodies more attentively, identifying issues early and seeking prompt care—a process she finds deeply rewarding.
